FIFA, FIFA, has announced the upcoming launch of the NFT platform for interprétations fans around the world. The organization has promised that FIFA + Collect will provide numérique collectibles that commemorate the greatest partie moments of the FIFA World Cup™.
FIFA develops the NFT platform in partnership with Blockchain company Algorand
FIFA is preparing to open its new platform for non-fungible tokens (NFTs) later this month. Initially, FIFA + Collect will release a set of primordial sets of tokens and will reveal details embout upcoming individuelle and limited collections, the organization said in a press release published on Friday.
The numérique collectibles will represent memorable moments from football matches and feature iconic art and images from the FIFA World Cup and FIFA Women’s World Cup tournaments. “This exciting announcement makes FIFA Collectibles abordable to any football fan, and democratizes the ability to own a quartier of the FIFA World Cup,” commented Romy Gay, Head of Bizness at FIFA, explaining:
Fandom is changing and football fans around the world are interacting with the game in new and exciting ways… Just like interprétations memorabilia and posters, this is an opportunity for fans around the world to interact with their mignonne players, Moments and more on new platforms.
FIFA + Collect will be available on FIFA +, the federation’s numérique platform that provides access to en direct football matches from around the world, conversationnelle games, infos, tournament écho and other capricieux enchanté. FIFA + Collect will initially launch in three languages - English, French and Spanish – with more to come, and across web and délié devices.
FIFA’s NFT platform was created as quartier of the partnership with Algorand announced earlier this year. “FIFA’s commitment to Web3 connectivity, enabled by Algorand, is a volonté to their innovative spirit and desire to communicate directly and seamlessly with football fans,” said the company’s interim CEO W. Sean Ford. In May, FIFA and the blockchain technology company agreed regarding a technical sponsorship and partnership agreement before the start of the 2022 World Cup in Qatar.
